Al Gore

The latest on Al Gore. A Democrat, Gore served as the 45th vice president of the United States from 1993 to 2001 in the administration of former President Bill Clinton. He narrowly lost the presidency in 2001 in a close election against Republican George W. Bush. Gore previously represented Tennessee in the U.S. Senate from 1985 to 1993 and in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1977 to 1985. He is the son of former Tennessee U.S. Senator Albert Gore Sr. Gore was the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for his environmental activism.
